relationship between perceived organizational support and emotional intelligence with employees’ entrepreneurial behavior of jihad-e keshavarzi organization of fars province

the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational support and the trait emotional intelligence with the entrepreneurial behavior of employees in jihad-e keshavarzi organization of fars province. the research method used was a survey and descriptive- correlation techniques. statistical population of this study consisted of 110 experts in jihad-e- agriculture organization of fars province. using cochran’s formula and random sampling technique, 62 experts were selected as sample. data were collected by using questionnaire, which was validated by a panel of experts in the department of agricultural extension and education of tarbiat modares university and jihad-e keshavarzi organization of fars province. the reliability was gained through a pilot study with cronbach’s alpha coefficient between 0.73 to 0.87 for different parts of the questionnaire. the results indicated that there were positive and significant relationships between perceived organizational support (pos) and emotional intelligence (ei) with the employee’s entrepreneurial behavior. the positive correlation between pos and entrepreneurial behavior was moderated by organizational tenure. in other word, the positive relationship between pos and entrepreneurial behavior was stronger for employees with less tenure (less than 15 years), compared with employees with higher tenure (more than 15 years). the results of stepwise multivariate regression analysis indicated that pos and ei could explained 15.9 percent (r2= 0.159) of the variability of the entrepreneurial behavior variance.
